Shelley Moore
Shelley is the founder of The Avenue Place, a well-established psychology practice in Berwick that has served the local community for many years. She has been a registered psychologist for over 20 years, with a career defined by a broad range of roles in both clinical and educational settings, working extensively with children, adolescents, and adults across all areas of general psychology. Shelley’s background also includes training psychology interns and holding an honorary lecturing role within the university sector. This experience allowed her to deepen her own practice by mentoring others in psychological theory and evidence-based intervention.
Shelley intentionally established The Avenue Place as a small-scale practice, allowing her to personally oversee clinical standards and maintain a grounded, consistent environment. Her focus is on ensuring that therapy is tailored to the individual and that the practice offers a high level of continuity of care. While Shelley continues to work directly with clients in both assessment and intervention, she maintains a special interest in OCD. She also currently supports clients across a wide range of presenting issues, including anxiety and depressive disorders, learning challenges, and neurodevelopmental support. Alongside her clinical work, Shelley is dedicated to the ongoing support of her staff and the integrity of the services provided to the community.
